The Transition Year outing to Carlingford was a brilliant experience for everyone involved. All four classes took part in several outdoor activities during our stay. These activities included Laser Tag, Canoeing, traversing the Sky Park, Archery, Disc Golf and many more! Ziptopia, an obstacle course that mainly consisted of zip lines, was an outstanding favorite among most of the 4th years. The course was located in a forest, above, what looked like, an abandoned quarry. Zipping across the quarry was truly exhilarating.
Teamwork was a key part of many of the activities students took part in during our stay in Louth. Although some activities, such as the Crystal Maze, tested the students’ patience and leadership skills, all the groups worked together superbly.
Back in the Adventure Centre students enjoyed communal viewings of the Winter Olympics, along with amenities, including the neighbouring sweet shop and sports hall.
In summation, the Transition Year Carlingford Trip will definitely be remembered as one of the finest trips this year.
